burnt rosemary and blood orange butter

100g vegan butter or margarine
the zest and juice of half a blood orange or more if you like it more citrusy
one twig of fresh rosemary
flaky sea salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
I N S T R U C T I O N S
let your butter soften up by placing it on your kitchen counter for about 2 hours before mixing with your other ingredients
meanwhile slightly burn your rosemary twig with a torch or lighter until it is fragrant but not completely burnt and chop it up as finely as possible
place the softened butter in a bowl, add all your other ingredients and gently fold them in using a fork until well incorporated and everything is spread throughout the butter
place it back in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours - I think it tastes even better when placed in the fridge over night.
