sweet and sour pickled cherries
I N G R E D I E N T S
500g cherries
175ml apple cider vinegar
175ml water
100g sugar
optional: cloves/thyme/coriander seeds
I N S T R U C T I O N S
start by halving the cherries and removing their pits
combine water, vinegar, sugar and your optional spices into a pan and bring to a boil slowly while stirring to dissolve the sugar
simmer for 5 minutes then remove from heat
pack the cherries into a sterilized jar and pour over the hot liquid so the cherries are covered
close the jar immediately and store in the fridge once cooled down
you can eat them the next day but they are best after a few days
